SPH NYC 2023 - Current Volunteer Opportunities

Creighton’s Cafe - Feeding Program
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Info: We open our doors to NYC neighbors to come in, join our community Gospel time, and enjoy a hearty breakfast to be prepared for the day. Our volunteer team strives to create a safe and welcoming space in love for neighbors from all walks of NYC life; from those who live in the neighborhood, to neighbors currently unhoused, to neighbors who want to pop in before work.
-----------
Monday Night Pantry Packing - Prepping Program
Mondays - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Info: We prepare grocery bags of food that will be distributed the following day to neighbors in the Hell’s Kitchen Community. This is a great behind-the-scenes way to serve and care for St. Paul's House and its work. Perfect for people with busy schedules who still want to give a few hours a week in service!
----------
Tuesday Neighborhood Pantry - Pantry Program
Tuesdays - 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Info: Our Neighborhood Pantry Program has serviced the Hell's Kitchen Community for over 70 years. Our volunteer team helps distribute bags of non-perishable food items and fresh produce weekly. It's our hope and prayer to continue serving our next-door neighbors for years to come.
-----------

Heartbeat - Youth Program
Fridays - 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Info: Heartbeat Hangouts is a safe place for NYC youth to learn about Faith and Love. Our goal is to welcome our NYC youth to feel accepted, and to mentally, physically, and emotionally grow. All are welcomed, seen, and able to join a community in Love. For our group, "in Love" means to be in the love that Jesus Christ offers. One big component of our program is Life Talks, our "lesson/small group time" where we connect inclusively in conversation and thought around living, encouraging, and loving one another, especially in the love and truth of Jesus Christ. We're looking for volunteer friends interested in connecting with youth about faith, leading an activity, or helping out with cooking the community meal!
